New campsites at the well known Larapinta Trail in Central Australia have been launched as part of a long term project between NT Tourism and World Expeditions. The Larapinta trail extends 233km over the West MacDonnel Ranges and is separated into 12 sections, ranging from 1 to 2 day walks. With facilities such as toilets, hot showers and fresh food and those to facilitate extreme weather, the new campsite has been described as an oasis in the desert for hikers.
