Hyden

Hyden

Near the wheatbelt town of Hyden some 340km south east of Perth can be found one of the state’s most recognisable icons.

Wave Rock has been described as the most photographed image of Western Australia. This huge wall of overhanging rock has the distinctive shape of a curling wave about to break, measuring over 100 metres long and 15 metres above the ground the rock has the distinct shape of the rolling sea.

Visitors may reach the Wave Rock by coach tour from Perth or include this popular destination in a self-drive itinerary.
