Villa Aliya - Seminyak

I asked one of my clients what she enjoyed about Villa accommodation …

“Walk barefoot on the grass. Swim in the rain with nobody to watch you and laugh at at you for getting wet. Stay up all night and only have one staff member give you quizzical looks. Dream that you actually live there. Surround yourself with people you actually like. Delight in having the masseurs come to you. Luxuriate without having to to shopping. Go shopping and come straight home. Have a nap. Have a bath. Have a cocktail made with your own cheapskate spirits. Love your holiday and never want to leave …”

Three Kimberley weather traps to avoid

Choosing the right time of year to travel north of Perth in the Kimberley region and/or the Northern Territory is critical. There are 3 weather traps that you’ll do well to avoid.

Storms. Travelling in the wet season in the North West can mean you may be stranded for days as roads become impassable.

Heat. Many travellers indicate they love heat, can’t get enough of it, however our heat and humidity at certain times of the year are unbearable.

Where is everyone? Most locals take the opportunity to holiday elsewhere during these months. What this means is that usual tour companys, day cruise operators; day tours do not run during the ‘off’ season.

So when planning your trip to the Kimberley region the best time to visit is May through September, keeping in mind July and August are the peak months.
