Wooleen Station in the states mid west is one of the many Rangeland pastoral properties that make travellers very welcome.
A 500,000-acre working sheep and cattle station Wooleen wins awards for their fine quality merino wool and National awards for tourism.
The beautifully maintained 100 year old colonial homestead is listed by the national trust and guests are welcomed by the owners Brett and Helen Pollock, accommodation is in comfortable country style rooms.
Evening meals at wooleen are an occasion, taken in the grand old dining room in true country style and complemented by the offerings of a fine wine cellar.
Station life goes on and guests are invited to join in, during the late afternoon Brett escorts guests to the spectacular rock outcrops nearby to see the ancient aboriginal cave paintings and to witness a never to be forgotten sunset.
Wooleen is a 4 hour drive inland from Monkey Mia and is featured in a number of our “Soft Adventure” self drive tours.
