DAY 01: Brisbane to Stanthorpe (271 km)
Collect your vehicle today and travel south-west on the Dayton-Wellcamp Road towards Cambooya & Nobby in the heart of Steele Rudd Country. You may wish to stop for lunch at Rudd’s Pub in Nobby and see the quirky Steele Rudd memorabilia. Continue your drive through Allora, along the way you can tour Glengallen Homestead, sample locally-produced cider
and fresh apple pie at Suttons Apple Farm and Cidery before arriving into Stanthorpe to get settled for the next two nights.
DAY 02: Granite Belt Tour & Girraween National Park
Today is for you to explore Girraween National Park at your leisure. Drive south to Glen Aplin and Jamworks to sample delicious jams and conserves. See Girraween National Park’s intriguing balancing boulders, abundant birdlife and spectacular wildflowers in Spring. You may wish to join a Twilight Winery Tour featuring wine tastings, sunset at a scenic lookout and a three-course seasonal produce dinner (own expense).
DAY 03: Stanthorpe to Brisbane (218 km)
Driving back via Millmerran you will pass through pretty country fields on the Stanthorpe-Inglewood Road to Coolmunda. Join an olive grove tour and tasting at Coolmunda Olive farm (own expense). Follow the Millmerran-Inglewood Road to Millmerran, home to the annual Camp Oven Festival before continuing onto Brisbane.
Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off at the city or airport, by the same time as it was picked up on Day 1, to avoid any additional charges.
