DAY 01: Broome to Imintji Wilderness Camp (437 km)
Pick up your 4WD vehicle and drive to Derby. Continue via Windjana Gorge to Imintji Wilderness Camp, a fantastic base for exploring the Gibb River Road’s magnificent gorges.

 

DAY 02: Imintji Wilderness Camp
Spend the day exploring some of the Kimberley’s most scenic gorges. Enjoy hiking and swimming beneath the waterfall in Bell Gorge, see rock art in Galvans Gorge or swim at Barnett River Gorge.

 

DAY 03: Imintji Wilderness Camp to El Questro Wilderness Park (403 km)
Explore Galvans Gorge, Manning and Barnett Gorge and continue to the one million acre El Questro Station. El Questro is located on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley region, and extends for approximately 80 kilometres into the heart of the region.

 

DAY 04: El Questro Wilderness Park
Relax and explore El Questro. Discover Zebedee Thermal Springs, Champagne Falls and Chamberlain Gorge.

 

DAY 05: El Questro Wilderness Park to Kununurra (80 km)
After leaving El Questro today, it’s the last part of the Gibb River Road section of your journey before re-joining the main highway. Travel to Kununurra, the vibrant provincial town and hub of the East Kimberley. Re-stock any supplies and fuel, enjoy a scenic cruise to Lake Argyle (own expense), browse the Argyle diamond showrooms and later this afternoon head to Kelly’s Knob Lookout to watch your last sunset in the Kimberley’s.

 

DAY 06: Kununurra to Bungle Bungles (361 km)
Continue to the safari camp within Purnululu National Park. In the heart of Purnululu the Bungle Bungle Range is an inspiring tribute to nature. From the air, the black and orange beehive domes are an impressive sight, rising 200 metres above the plain and giving way to reveal hidden gorges and pools. Allow three hours for the 53km journey from the highway turn-off.

 

DAY 07: Bungle Bungles to Kimberley (188 km)
Early start to visit Echidna Chasm then departs Purnululu and travels to Halls Creek via the Great Northern Highway. Visit China Wall and Palm Springs.

 

DAY 08: Kimberley to Fitzroy Crossing (290 km)
Continue along the highway to Fitzroy Crossing, gateway to Geikie Gorge.

 

DAY 09: Fitzroy Crossing to Broome (396 km)
Take some time to visit Geike Gorge today (boat cruise at own expense) as you continue your journey west out of the Kimberleys to spectacular Broome. Home of Australia’s Pearling Industry and some of the most amazing beaches in the world. Watch the sun set this afternoon.

Your 4WD is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off by the same time as it was picked up on Day 1 to avoid any
additional charges.
