Includes: 7 nights’ accommodation, 8 days unlimited km use of an intermediate sized car, continental breakfast in Kununurra, light breakfast in Batchelor and  and fully detailed itinerary with local and regional maps.

 

DAY 01: Broome to Fitzroy Crossing (396 km)
Collect your car from Broome and drive to Fitzroy Crossing. Ranger and Aboriginal guided cruises through nearby Geikie Gorge National Park operate from April to October (own expense).

 

DAY 02: Fitzroy Crossing to Kimberley (290 km)
Drive to Halls Creek, the site of Western Australia’s first gold rush and the access point for a number of natural attractions including China Wall and Caroline’s Pool.

 

DAY 03: Kimberley to Kununurra (359 km)
Travel to Kununurra, a vibrant town and hub of the East Kimberley via Turkey Creek. Scenic flights over the Bungle Bungle Range are available from Turkey Creek (own expense).

 

DAY 04: Kununurra
Consider a tour to the Argyle Diamond Mine with a scenic flight over Lake Argyle and the Bungles, or cruise on the Ord River from Kununurra to Lake Argyle (own expense). This afternoon take a drive to Kelly’s Knob Lookout to watch your last sunset in the Kimberleys.

 

DAY 05: Kununurra to Katherine (515 km)
Depart Kununurra and enjoy a stop at Lake Argyle before heading across the Northern Territory border to Katherine via Timber Creek and Victoria River.

 

DAY 06: Katherine
Enjoy a cruise through beautiful Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge this morning (own expense). Travel to the town of Mataranka and visit Mataranka Homestead and the crystal clear waters of Mataranka Thermal Pool.

 

DAY 07: Katherine to Litchfield National Park (238 km)
Travel north to Batchelor. Travel into Litchfield National Park, one of the Top End’s most accessible natural attractions. Overnight in Batchelor.

 

DAY 08: Litchfield National Park to Darwin (99 km)
Enjoy more time exploring Litchfield National Park before continuing to Darwin via Territory Wildlife Park (own expense). Darwin is the perfect place to end your adventure. Don’t miss the pink, purple and orange hues of a Darwin Harbour sunset!

Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off by the same time as it was picked up on Day 1 to avoid any additional charges.
