Eucla is the first town and main eastern gateway in Western Australia for visitors travelling west on the Eyre Highway (Highway 1). Situated close to the South Australian border and 1436km from Perth, Eucla marks the beginning of the Nullabor Plain.
From the Highway numerous side tracks lead south to the coast and offer spectacular views of the Southern Ocean and the Great Australian Bight. However before leaving the main road you should seek local advise from the roadhouse staff.
