Perth
Perth. The 1.5 million residents of Australia’s Western Capital city enjoy a near perfect climate. With average summer temperatures of Max.29.9 Min. 17.3, and Max.17.3 Min. 9.3 in the winter.
Founded in 1829 by Captain James Stirling Perth and its sister port of Fremantle soon became boom towns when Gold was discovered in the 1880s. Today the city is the centre of commerce and communications for the entire western half of Australia and its residents enjoy a lifestyle that is the envy of the world.
One great asset of the city is the broad Swan River, which meanders through parkland and suburb as it makes its way to the sea at Fremantle. Overlooking the river at the western edge of the city is Kings Park, 405 Hectares Of natural bush and cultivated parkland so popular with the community that any suggestion that even the smallest area be resumed brings forth an outcry.
