Manjimup

304km south of Perth, the town of Manjimup is known as the gateway to the tall timber country. An imposing timber archway across the South West Highway welcomes visitors.

The Manjimup Timber Park at the northern entrance to the town houses the tourist bureau, the Age of Steam Museum and the historic timber hamlet.

If you have an uncontrollable urge to climb to the top of one of Western Australia’s huge lookout trees once used to spot for bush fire, 10km south of Manjimup is the Diamond Tree Tower, the only all wooden treetop tower in the world 51 meters above the ground.
