Mandurah

The city of Mandurah, just 70km south of Perth, is the marine playground of Western Australia and the administrative centre of the Peel District. With its vast waterways and quiet rivers, the region attracts many visitors who enjoy the opportunity to hire a houseboat or power craft and explore this aquatic wonderland.

A popular self drive day tour from Perth, Mandurah is also the gateway to the many other attractions of the hinterland including Pinjarra; home of the Hotham Valley Tourist Railway which offers scenic Steam Train excursions throughout the State; and the vast timber forests of the Darling Scarp.

Many Western Australians and regular visitors from around the world have built luxury holiday and retirement homes along the waterways and in the modern residential canal developments. Regular boat cruises of the waterways depart daily from the dock adjacent to the Mandurah Tourist Bureau.
