Dunsborough
A popular holiday resort 255 Km. South of Perth Dunsborough is located on a sheltered north facing bay and is the ideal place to relax and from where to explore the Cape region. There is an abundance of accommodation offered in comfortable resorts and in bed and breakfast cottages.
The region has attracted a number of specialist craftsmen and artists and their wares are on display in numerous galleries and studios. From Dunsborough you can make a circuit of the two Capes, Cape Naturalist and Cape Leeuwin returning via the caves and wineries of Margaret River.
Northwest of Dunsborough, the Naturaliste road leads to excellent beaches such as Meelup, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay and some fine coastal lookouts and the tip of Cape Naturaliste.
There has been excellent diving in Geographe Bay since a decommissioned Navy Destroy, HMAS Swan, was sunk on purpose for divers. Marine life has colonised the wreck, 2.5km offshore.
