Northam

Northam

The important wheatbelt town of Northam straddles the Avon River 97 Km. East of Perth, from its humble beginnings in 1836 the town has grown to become one of the largest agricultural townships in the state and a popular stop for visitors heading East for the Goldfields or Australia’s eastern States. Many beautifully restored old buildings now cater for the visitor and the award winning Shamrock Hotel (1866) is just one example.

Reach Northam via the modern Avonlink rail service for a day out or stop over on your self-drive tour from Perth.
